Summary
May 2, 2024 | 5:30PM – 7:30PM
Artificial intelligence has the potential to shape the next generation of biomedicine and help researchers explore the molecular underpinnings of human health and disease. By training AI on enormous amounts of biological datasets, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) is collaborating with the scientific community to build virtual cells that can make predictions about human health and disease — which actions on its goal to help scientists cure, prevent or manage all disease by the end of this century.
This AI effort will have broad applications in the diagnosis of rare diseases, therapeutic development, cell engineering, and more. As a tech-driven philanthropy, CZI has supported researchers in learning about our cells, building open-source software tools, and creating scientific institutions to help address some of the biggest challenges in cell biology and imaging.
Join co-founder and co-CEO of CZI Dr. Priscilla Chan, MD and president of The Rockefeller University Dr. Richard Lifton, MD, PhD for an in-depth conversation on how AI can accelerate scientific discovery at this event.
